Transmission system operators need 2.2 billion kWh fuel gas
GASCADE Gastransport GmbH, NEL Gastransport GmbH and ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH start new invitations to tender. ONTRAS is again hoping for a biomethane share of up to ten percent in its fuel gas volumes.
Kassel / Leipzig. New invitations to tender for fuel gas by GASCADE, NEL Gastransport and ONTRAS: To operate their networks, the three transmission system operators will require around 2.2 billion kWh of natural gas and biomethane from April 2022. Gas traders are invited to take part in the invitations to tender being carried out by GASCADE Gastransport GmbH for GASCADE, NEL Gastransport GmbH and ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH for the sale and supply of fuel gas quantities. For one supply year, GASCADE expexts that it will require around 2,1 Mrd. kWh of fuel gas, NEL Gastransport's estimate is around 0,05 Mrd. kWh, and the fuel gas needs for ONTRAS are estimated at around 0.1 billion kWh.
Fuel gas quantities for GASCADE and NEL Gastransport are required exclusively in the form of H-gas, while ONTRAS requires H-gas and biomethane. The operators are requesting tenders for the sale and supply of fuel gas in the period from 1 April 2022 to 1 April 2023 at the virtual trading point Trading Hub Europe.
All the documents required for prequalification for this invitation to tender must be received by 12:00 noon on 21 February 2022. The tender and bidding phase ends at 12:00 noon on 28 February 2022. The contract award phase will end at 12:00 noon on 2 March 2022.
